HUNTINGDON VALLEY, Pa., November 21, 2007— Since Farlex, Inc., relaunched TheFreeLibrary.com in January of 2007, there have been several exciting changes and new features added to the website.

TheFreeLibrary.com recently introduced its user-friendly customizable homepage, providing individual users with a personal window to the web. The free, fully customizable format does not require any installation, download, or additional software and can be accessed from any modern browser. It has been lauded for its versatility, organization, and clarity—users can simply add, remove, drag, and drop content windows. An innovative new mail feature lets users view messages in their email inboxes, while a picture option allows them to upload their favorite photos for display directly on their homepage. Users can add their own bookmarks, horoscope, weather information, and RSS and Atom feeds from anywhere on the web. In addition, TheFreeLibrary’s syndicated news directory now offers RSS feeds from dozens of reputable publications, websites, and news sources.

Since its launch in 2003, TheFreeLibrary.com has provided users with full-text versions of classic literary works by hundreds of celebrated authors. Its directory has since grown to include a massive collection of periodicals, and the site is now home to over 3 million books and articles. Newly-published articles are added to the site daily from leading publications covering a wide range of subject areas. Now, for the first time since the site’s launch, users have the ability to submit their own articles and news stories to TheFreeLibrary.com for publication. This free service allows users to share their work will millions of readers. New features also allow the user community to rate submissions and post comments on various articles.

Steve Boymel, co-founder and executive vice president of Farlex, Inc., says, “These innovative new elements offer users an unprecedented level of interactivity and customization on TheFreeLibrary. We are devoted to constantly improving the site and are thrilled with the overwhelmingly positive response to the added features.”
