You can now open The Free Dictionary app directly from Google results on iPhone and iPad

HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA., June 4, 2015 — Farlex, Inc., publisher of The Free Dictionary app, the world's most comprehensive dictionary app, is excited to announce that users of the Google app for iPhone and iPad can now easily access The Free Dictionary app directly from Google search results.

Here's how it works: signed-in users of the Google app or Chrome for iPhone and iPad will now see content from some of their favorite apps in search results when relevant. This means that users who see content from The Free Dictionary in Google search results will no longer have to perform another search in The Free Dictionary app to find that content—they can open the results within the app directly with just one tap.

"This exciting new feature comes as more and more users are turning to The Free Dictionary app for the most accurate reference information in the most user-friendly format," said Nick Simonov, co-founder and president of Farlex, Inc. "Now iPhone and iPad users can access The Free Dictionary app even more quickly when viewing search results from the Google app or Chrome."

Farlex is proud to partner with Google to make The Free Dictionary one of the apps directly accessible from the Google app for iPhone and iPad.

"This exactly suits the mission of Farlex and The Free Dictionary: helping information seekers get what they're looking for more quickly and in an app optimized for their mobile device," said Steve Boymel, co-founder and vice president of Farlex, Inc.
