TheFreeDictionary.com Now Accepts Bitcoin

HUNTINGDON VALLEY, Pa., June 5, 2017 — Farlex, Inc., publisher of the world's most comprehensive dictionary, announced today that its flagship website, www.TheFreeDictionary.com, will now accept Bitcoin for online payments.

The Free Dictionary joins a growing number of merchants that now accept Bitcoin, a peer-to-peer virtual currency.

Visitors to The Free Dictionary will now be able to use Bitcoin to purchase the site's premium subscription, which allows users to browse the site ad-free. Bitcoin transactions will be securely handled by Coinbase, a leading digital currency platform.

"The Free Dictionary has always looked to provide innovative ways for users to access information," said Steve Boymel, co-founder and vice president of Farlex, Inc. "Accepting Bitcoin is just another way we're keeping The Free Dictionary on the cutting edge of online innovation."

As the popularity of Bitcoin continues to grow and it is adopted by more and more people around the world, many Bitcoin users are looking to merchants to offer them new opportunities to pay for products and services with it.

"I think we've yet to see the full potential of Bitcoin and other virtual currencies," said Nick Simonov, co-founder and president of Farlex, Inc. "We're excited to be part of their success by joining the ranks of top companies that accept Bitcoin."
